Pensioner killed in car collision
A 69 year old man has been killed after a car collided with him on The Avenue in Southampton. The accident happened at around 9pm on Monday 18th January.
The pensioner had just left the Solent Blueline bus on Lodge Road and is believed to have been walking home when he was struck by the car.
The Peugeot 206 was being driven by an 18 year old man with a 15 year old and a 16 year old passenger.
The driver was arrested and is currently in police custody.
Police are appealing for witnesses to this pedestrian accident especially anyone who may have seen the car before the incident.
