Man dies at fridge factory
A employee has died after an accident in the workplace. The 61 year old was treated at the scene by paramedics but later died in hospital from his injuries.
The Health and Safety Executive has launched an investigation into the incident that happened on Tuesday 1st December at the Bradford based factory.
The fridge factory, George Barker which is part of the EPTA Group manufactures refrigerators for commercial use. A spokesperson for the company said: “A highly-regarded and much-loved George Barker employee, Jim Murphy, sadly died as a result of an incident at work.”
“As the circumstances are unclear, we are currently helping the Health and Safety Executive perform a full and thorough investigation into the circumstances of this sad event.”
“At this point there is nothing more we can add until the investigation has been concluded. Our thoughts are with Jim’s family and friends at this difficult time.”
