Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini has been in a motorcycle accident involving a Ford Fiesta.
The collision happened in Walthamstow, East London at around 10.30am yesterday. Cudicini was taken to hospital with fractured wrists and an injured pelvis. The female driver and child passenger of the car walked away unharmed.
The Italian who signed from Chelsea football club in January this year is said to be waiting for further test results.
A statement on Tottenham’s website said: “Carlo Cudicini has fractured his wrists and injured his pelvis after being involved in a road accident this morning. The 36-year-old Italian goalkeeper has been admitted to hospital and undergone scans under the supervision of club medical staff. The club will update supporters on Carlo as soon as there is any further information.”
No arrests have been made following the road crash.
